Never try to stop someone who wants to leave.
You must understand: you can't keep someone who wants to leave, you can't wake someone who's pretending to sleep, and you can't move someone who doesn't love you. If he misses you, he'll contact you; if he wants you, he'll say so; if he cares about you, his true feelings will show; if none of these things happen, then you don't need to bother with him. Actually, you can sense who likes you; you can also sense who you like, whether they love you back, and whether they care. Sometimes, as smart as you are, your foolishness lies in habitually deceiving yourself. You made promises you shouldn't have made, and persisted in things that weren't necessary.
Love can't be forced. Let go of those who can't enter your heart; turn back from worlds you can't enter. If the tea is cold, don't add more water; it won't taste the same. If someone leaves, don't try to keep them; it won't feel the same. If the love is gone, don't dwell on it; it won't evoke the same feelings. Everything will gradually fade away. Cherish what you have while you have it, and silently wish them well when they leave. On life's journey, no one is obligated to accompany you to the very end. Don't force yourself into shoes that don't fit; it'll only hurt your feet. If someone doesn't answer your call, don't keep redialing; those who cherish you will call back immediately. Don't travel far to eat at a restaurant that's moved; your time shouldn't be spent chasing after things. Be true to yourself in all people and things; don't force what isn't yours. After all, what leaves is just scenery; what remains is life.If someone breaks up with you and finds someone new quickly, it's not because they're so great, but simply because they already had someone else in mind and discarded you like an old shoe. All that talk about not wanting to be a burden or not being compatible is a lie. It's just about being fickle. People who truly love each other won't break up, no matter how many excuses they have. Because they're always in love, not just having loved. Cherish what you have, let go of what you don't; don't exhaust yourself! Live like a queen, and you'll attract a king. You attract what you are. Don't try so hard to be good to someone, afraid of making a mistake and losing their affection. This isn't love, it's appeasement. Feeling you love the other person more after a breakup, feeling you can't live without them—this isn't love, it's resentment. When someone replies to your messages slowly, or doesn't reply at all, don't worry about what's wrong. They're just spending time with someone more important than you, or doing something more important. Every road has an end, never look back; every heart has its sorrows, never dwell on them. Falling in love isn't difficult; the difficulty lies in loving the right person. Loving the right person is always more important than falling in love with someone. We will never be as happy as we imagine, nor will we ever be as miserable as we imagine. Leaving is always easier than meeting, because meeting is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity among billions, while leaving is simply the end for two people.
Human emotions are like teeth; once they're gone, they're gone, and replacements are always fake. Love is something to be cherished, not rushed. If you have love, cherish it wholeheartedly; if you don't, being alone is also pleasant. You can be a supporting character, but you must know how to be the protagonist even when you're a supporting character. No matter how deeply you've been hurt, there will always be someone who comes along and makes you forgive all the hardships life has thrown your way. It's
truly ironic how many of these people exist!
