Let me share two sentences from Douyin (TikTok).
Two statements suddenly appeared on Douyin (TikTok). One said, "Most relationships can actually last as long as the guy is willing," and the other said, "When a guy has enough ability, everything he wants will come to him." But I think neither of these statements makes sense.
Let's talk about the first statement first. Persistence can solve some problems, but there's no relationship that can be resolved simply by persisting. Relationships are a two-way street; only when both people are willing to persist can they last. Rather than blindly persisting, it's better to turn around, say goodbye to the past relationship, and give yourself a timeframe. If she's willing to start over within that timeframe, that's best. But after that time, choose to respect your dignity, let go even if you can't let go, change your mindset, and don't let the next person who wants to approach you be afraid to approach you.
Now let's talk about the second statement. Many people say that the best age for a girl is under 30, so most of the harsh words are directed at men. But who thinks about when a man's truly golden age is? It's only a few short years during middle school, high school, and university. In the past few years, a boy might attract a girl's attention by playing sports, musical instruments, singing, drawing, telling jokes, or being academically gifted. However, once that window of opportunity closes, if he lacks sufficient ability, everything will simply fade away. School romances are the purest, based on unconditional affection. After all these years, without money, a boy has no chance. If a boy loses his purest feelings when he's most powerless, he'll try to win her back. But if that effort only comforts himself, he'll become indifferent to love; what he gets isn't necessarily what he wants. From a boy's perspective, I want to tell girls: if the person beside you now is the one you want to spend your life with, and he happens to be at his most vulnerable, please don't give up because of reality. Stay with him and persevere. After these years, you will eventually get what you want. Listen to your innermost voice. Only you know what you truly desire.
It reminds me of a saying: "A clean break, each to their own happiness." But there's no such thing as everyone finding happiness alone. Only one person let go of the past and started a new relationship, while the other hid their past, pretending to be indifferent, and eventually becoming indifferent themselves.
Finally, I'd like to end with a comment I saw on Douyin: A person only needs three people in their life. One person tells you what liking is, but it's just liking, no need for any interaction. One person teaches you what love is, but there's no future. One person accompanies you to the end, making you look forward to meeting them again in the next life.
